Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion assist the priest with the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ. They should be mature in faith and be known to other parishioners as practicing Catholics in good standing in the Catholic Church. Diocesan regulations require that Eucharistic Ministers be practicing Catholics over the age of 18, single, widowed, divorced or in a valid marriage. Call the parish office if you would like to volunteer for this ministry. 724-378-8561

Very often those who are sick and home bound are not just “shut in” but “shut out” of so many of the activities, relationships and places that are important parts of their lives. This is true for faithful Catholics who have a deep relationship and devotion to Jesus in his Eucharistic presence. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are needed to help reunite and strengthen the relationship of these two friends! Can you help? In an effort to strengthen our outreach ministry to the community through the Ministry to the Sick program at St Titus, we are always looking for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to bring the Eucharist to those homebound on regular basis. Not only would you be reuniting “two friends,” but another relationship would be strengthened; that of the individual whom you are serving, with the praying community of St. Titus, through you! If you are currently serving as an Extra Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion in the parish, please give this request serious consideration. To share in or learn more about this important ministry at St. Titus, please call Jackie D’Alessandris 724-375-6238
