Fall Adult Education Offerings
Fr. Martin, Fr. Joachim and our Seminarian Jeff, will be leading Adult Education programs on a variety of topics on various days at the churches in our grouping beginning in October.
The Letter to the Ephesians - will be the subject of a Bible study conducted by Fr. Martin at St. Titus Church on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. from October 16th thru November 20th. The class will be offered in the church (we'll pray Vespers to begin); please enter through the Sheffield Ave entrance. So that sufficient books can be purchased, please register by sending an email to email@example.com or call the St. Titus Parish Office. Homework for the first session: read Ephesians Chapter 1. There will be a test! (Just kidding.)
Prayer - Seminarian Jeff Craig will lead a study on the beauty of prayer through Catholic Tradition and the Saints. Are you looking to become more aware of God’s presence in your life and being able to grow in relationship with God through all of life’s moments? Join us as we learn more about prayer, discuss different ways of praying, and discover how to encounter God in the little things. Sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, from October 17th to December 12th.
Study of the Mass - Have you ever wondered about the architecture and objects of the church? Have you been curious why we sit, stand, and kneel at different parts of the Mass? Have you ever felt bored or confused by the words and actions of the priest and congregation? On Thursdays, from October 18th until November 15th, at 6:30 PM at St. Frances Cabrini Church, Fr. Joachim will help with exploring the church, breaking down the Mass, so that we may learn how to better pray and participate at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
HIGH SCHOOL juniors or seniors and their families are invited to Get Acquainted Day Open Houses at Saint Vincent College, Latrobe, on Saturday, October 20th, and Sunday, November 11th.
